Two more of the big leagues met up this week. Also Frogtown is a meet that draws in a lot of teams (while other teams avoid it like the plague). Woodbridge is a two day event that draws runners from across the US. I was at CCAL, VOL, and Frogtown...making this a busy week indeed.
9/18/24 WED CCAL 1 @ TRRP, Modesto
The competing StanCo teams were Modesto, Downey, Gregori, Enochs, Turlock, and Pitman. This appears to be a down year for some of these teams on both the boys' and girls' sides. Girls flag football took a toll. There are still some top runners that battled it out on the unseasonably cool day. The times were about a minute faster across the board than last year's CCAL 1 which I believe was an extremely hot and dusty day. BUT in the VB race the historic benchmark for a top time is sub 16:30, and none of the boys met that mark.
