WEEK 1 Runners of the Week
Week 1 seemed like a pretty light week but upon closer analysis 10 different StanCo teams were out running---and there were some very solid early season times produced in those meets.
MOISES BENAVIDES (Downey): was the top StanCo finisher at the Kim Duyst Inv. He finished 2nd overall. He continues to grow as a runner and will be a force in the MMC this year.
ALONDRA HERNANDEZ (Riverbank): was 3rd overall and the 2nd StanCo finisher at Friday's Kim Duyst Inv. She ran 15:55 over the 4K distance.
Others I Considered
EMILY FIFE (Hughson)--finished 2nd in the VG Sm Schl Div at Nature's Bakery.
AUSTIN HOACH (Hughson)--is emerging as the current and future leader for the Huskys. He finished 8th in the Varsity Sm School division at nature's Bakery.
CHRISTIAN GUTIERREZ (Downey)--he finished 3rd overall at Kim Duyst
ALONDRA CARDOZA (Downey)She is emerging out of the shadows as a leader for the Knights. At Kim Duyst she finished 4th overall.
ADAL ROBLES (Waterford)--he was the top StanCo finisher at Thursday's Jaguar Inv, he finished 18th overall.
MADELINE TREE (Orestimba)--she was the top StanCo finisher at the Jaguar Inv. She finished 21st overall.
ANDY ROJO (Central Valley)--he was CV top finisher at Saturday's Thunder 2mi.
