WEEK 7 (VOL 2; CCC 2, Crystal Springs; Castro Valley; Clovis Inv)

VOL CLUSTER 2  (Eagal Lakes)  5K
For the second time this year the VOL schools competed against each other. The course for this round was the remote Eagal Lakes in rural Tracy. This was my first time in this park and locating a good spot to take photos took some exploring. Even for a 5K course, these times seem pretty slow to me. There is very little spectator-runner opportunity for interaction, and that may be the factor slowing down the times (and it was pretty warm).

VGIRLS
Team-wise the two StanCo teams (Oakdale and Central Catholic) were a bit over-matched.

On the VB side the two StanCo teams (Pitman and Turlock) finished with about the same results as the prior meeting. Both team's lack of top contenders substantially hurt them in the team competition.
