This past Wednesday the seven MMC schools squared off against each other to compete on the Legion Park triple loop course.
In the VG race it was Mya Torres (Gregori) and Savannah Mendoza (Modesto) dueling for the first two miles until Mya opened up a slight lead and motored home. Since both of these ladies are sophs, I suspect this was the first of many future head to head battles. On the team side it was Gregori placing 5 in the top 14 to take their first ever MMC event. Modesto nipped Downey by a point for the runners up position.

The girls division seems like it was a pretty good race. After watching Gregori for the last 2 weekends, I was pretty sure their boys would win. They are getting to the level where they can compete with(not necessarily beat) anyone in the section. It is always nice to see local schools that can go up and take on the Sacramento area teams
