2025 WEEK 4 Runners of the Week

There were some amazing performances and some that were phoned in which made the selection somewhat difficult for me. In the end if you think I over looked you this week keep doing what you are doing and you'll likely get that coveted recognition sooner or later.

JYMENA NGUYEN MARQUEZ (Grace Davis)--won the large school division at Frogtown in a 3mi time of 19:26.3

GISELLE FERNANDEZ (Riverbank)--won MLL 1 in a 3mi time of 19:19.02 running alone on a 100 degree day. Then doubled back to place 37th in the most elite race at Woodbridge to run 16:50.2 for the 3mi circuit.

ADDISON WYLIE (Oakdale)--won the SS VG race at Frogtown in 19:04 for 3 mi to lead her team to the title. She placed 3rd at VOL 1 in 19:08 for 3mi also helping Oadale take the win.

SEAN MUTURI (Oakdale)--was the fastest varsity finisher at Frogtown in a 3mi time of 16:05.

MITCHELL BENNING (Oakdale)--ran 17:15 at VOL 1 for 3mi to be Oakdale's first finisher leading them to the important VOL victory. His time was a 1:15 sec improvement over the same meet last year.

OTHERS I CONSIDERED
LIZ CHRISTOPHER (Turlock) improved by over a min at CCAL 1 from her time the year before to place 7th
LUKE OLIVEIRA (Turlock) placed 7th at CCAL 1 in a time that was over a min faster than the same meet the year before
LARSON WEJMAR ran 15:07 to place 11th at Woodbridge to lead his team to a second place finish
QUINN BACA (Oakdale) turned in solid performances at both VOL 1 and Frogtown to help his team to both wins
EMMANUEL JUAREGI (Central Catholic) ran 17:14 to place 2nd at VOL 1, last year at the same meet he ran 19:19 and was 31st.
