This was the first participation weekend for XC. About 2/3 of the StanCo teams saw action with mostly the larger Modesto schools holding off for now.

SAT 8/24 SCREAMIN SCOTT SHOWDOWN @ Atwater HS, Atwater
The competing StanCo schools were Enochs, Pitman, Oakdale, Patterson, Hughson, Riverbank, Denair, Big Valley, Orestimba, Ceres, Central Valley, and Waterford.
Teams had a choice of the 3mi (Long Course) or the 2.2 mi (Short Course). Other than Hughson and Livingston it appeared that all of the other schools put their top runners in the 3mi long course race so those are the results I am reporting. This meet also pits the runners of Merced County against the runners of Stanislaus County. I will list those "County results" in the appropriate division.
BOYS (Long Course) 3mi
StanCo took the team County race 21-38 against Merced. Oakdale easily outdistanced the other teams with 47 points. The host Atwater squad was second with 99 pts.

SAT 8/24 SIERRA INV @ Sierra College, Rocklin
The competing StanCo schools were Turlock and Beyer. All grade divisions ran the same 2mi course so I have compiled the results. Just as an aside head to head Beyer would have beaten Turlock 23 to32. This is a little shocking to me. You go Patriots! Turlock's top runner (Teddy Santos) was taking the SAT (good for him); but even if he had been there, he would have had to run faster than Hayes for Turlock to have nosed by the Beyer squad 27-28
