2022 Week 8 Runners of the Week

With the completion of the league meets there were certainly some good performances. I was especially looking at runners who had placed in the top three who had not already received a shirt.

 

 SOPHIE BENHAM (Hughson)--as a frosh, placed 3rd in the TVL finals in a time of 21:21:15 which is almost a 1 min PR for 5K

EZRA ARAMBULA (Hughson)--placed 2nd at the TVL Championship meet. His time of 17:31 was a new 5K PR and helped lead the Huskies to the team title.

JULIA ZENSIUS (Central Catholic)--placed 2nd in the VOL Championship meet helping the Raiders to a second place finish. Her time of 21:15 was a 35 sec PR for 5K

ALBERTO ESQUIVEZ (Orestimba)--won the SAL championship his Frosh, Junior and most recently his Senior season (the was no real SAL Championship his Soph year due to COVID)

SUSANNAH HALL (Waterford)--won all three SAL cluster meets including the Championship meet. Her time of 21:34 was a new 5K PR by almost a min.

YELENA ORDONEZ (Beyer)--placed second in the WAC championship meet
