This was a busy week. There are results or photos from 13 different meets. I believe that every StanCo team saw some action. I personally attended 4 different meets. I am not sure that I have ever gone to 4 XC meets in the same week--yes, I very busy week indeed. Thank you to those who send me results and allowed me to use their photos. It is impossible for me to be everywhere.

WED 2/24/21 CCAL TRI 1 @Gregori HS (TD, MoHi, Greg)
I was at this meet. There were 2 things that struck me. 1. the wind was crazy and greatly affected the times. 2. The year of forced lay off decimated these teams. Although I was impressed with the improvement of several of the runners--there were just so few runners..Modesto and Downey both failed to field varsity teams in either division

THUR 2/25/21 TVL/SAL RELAYS @ River Bluff, Ceres
I was at this meet out at River Bluff in Ceres. This was a different course than the WAC teams run in this park. These team ran the course as a 5 member relay team. So the 1st leg runners spread the field out and there wasn't much head to head running after the first 800m. I suppose that was the point of the format considering COVID protocols. Each runner ran 1.5 miles. I haven't seen any results, but the one thing that was clear was that the one year lay off hasn't much affected the Hughson runners. They have a huge fit team, compared to the others that I have seen so far.

I was at this meet out at Durham Ferry. It was the 6th and final CCAA meet of this abbreviated season. At these meets the runners start with their teams, and the start is staggered with one team beginning about 10 to 15 min behind the previous team. It is difficult to visualize who is running the fastest race. I do not have results BUT the results from CCAA 5 are posted above and the finishing order has varied little from one meet to another.
