2019 WEEK 9 (and 8) Runners of the Week

For the ten people that read this blog you'll remember that last week I decided to forego naming runners of the week and combine all of the league meet results for my selections. I also decided to double up and choose 4...with that said the decisions of whom to select were very difficult. You may notice that I based many of my selections on the degree of improvement. CCAL ran their 1st and 3rd meets over the same course. WAC ran their 1st and 4th meets on the same course. TVL and SAL run all of their meets at Legion. I should also note that I left off mentioning any runner who had already received the award.
JOEL CARDOZA (Downey) won the CCAL Championship in a time of 16:06 (#6 all-time) which was a 38 sec improvement from CCAL 1

ALBERTO ESQUIVEZ (Orestimba) won the SAL title in a time of 17:15 which was a 1:52 improvement from his SAL 2 time

MORA COLLINS (Gregori) placed 12th at CCAL Championship meet in a time of 20:40 which was about a 1:40 improvement from CCAL 1 and helped her team win the title. Last year as a frosh she placed 32nd in the F/S race.

DAYANARA RUVALCABA (Riverbank) placed 8th in the TVL Championship meet in a time of 21:44 which was about a 1:30 improvement

JACK DUCHALA (Grgeori) placed 4th at the CCAL Championship meet in a time of 16:36 which was a PR over this course after being injured almost all season
