WED 10/3 CCAL 2 @ Donnelly Park, Turlock
Competing StanCo teams were Enochs, Gregori, Modesto, Downey, Turlock, and Pitman. This was the second episode of the CCAL saga. The second meeting of Duchala and Guerrero. The third meeting of Mann and Kackley. With cooler temperatures and the flat/mostly cement course that is slightly short of 3 mi, there were destined to be some blazing fast times too. And the record book doesn't lie. Kackly's time is #3 all time, Mann's is #5 and Garcia-Meza's is #11. Compared to the Legion course, this course was running 30-45 seconds faster.

WED 10/3 CCC 2 @ Lk Yosemite, Merced
Competing StanCo teams were Central Valley and Patterson. The original CCC schools have had serious XC programs for years if not decades. The two former WAC schools (Patterson and CV) are trying to build their programs. Well this meet was a reality check (if not a gut check) for both, in that only 5 total Patterson and CV runners finished in the top 25 of the two varsity races combined.

Competing StanCo teams were Oakdale and Central Catholic. The young CC ladies continue to improve and inch closer to their dream of qualifying for the State meet. Some of the top Mustangs must have been ailing as some of their performances were at a higher level in VOL 1.

FRI 10/5 Yosemite Lake Inv @Yosemite Lake, Merced
Competing StanCo team was Turlock. When I was in JrHi and HS in Fresno, we used to come up to Merced and run in meets here. My wife and I were even married here. However in the past 10 years I don't think there have been many XC meets here--so it is good to see the re-utilization of this course.

Competing StanCo teams were Pitman, Modesto, Downey, Johansen, Grace Davis, and Riverbank. However many of those teams didn't run their top kids. Although there were different divisions, everyone ran the same 2.3 mi course. I have listed the fastest StanCo runners and there overall place.
