Two teams and 5 individual runners represented StanCo at yesterday's California State Meet.
The highlight of the day was Mikayla Florez' (Riverbank) 5th place finish in the D4 race. This performance caps a fine season and impressive career that included three section championships.
Team-wise, the Riverbank girls placed 18th in the D4 race. Following Mikayla, Sabrina Garcia placed 76th (20:23), Haley Richardson placed 99th (20:44), Kim Ruvalcaba placed 140th (21:30), Joslyn Beliera placed 147th (21:39), Stephanie Bernal placed 204th (25:12), and Maritza Lopez placed 207th (27:17).
Also on the girls' side of the meet Nicole Warwick (Modesto Christian) placed 110th and sister Meagan placed 111th in the D5 race both with the identical time of 21:59.
For the boys the top mark belonged to Zach Morrett (Hughson) who placed 15th (16:14) in the D4 race.
Additionally the Riverbank boys placed 13th in that same D4 race . They were led by Luis Figueroa's solid 44th place finish (16:43). Behind Luis were some strong performances by Jonathen Beliera in 67th (17:00), Adrian Salazar in 77th (17:08), Moises Gomez in 107th (17:29), Ruben Paradez in 125th (17:40), and Michael Rodriguez 188th and Carlos Martinez 189th both with a time of 19:03.
Also on the boys' side Nathan Stanton (Patterson) placed 79th (16:46) in the D3 race. Jeremy Hart (Big Valley Christian) rounded out the day in the D5 race by placing 82nd in a time of 17:43.
