Weekend Action (10/12/13)

There were four major meets this weekend. The biggest of the group was the Clovis Invitation at Woodward Park in Fresno. This meet traditionally serves as a preview of the State Meet. Two big "Bay Area" meets were on the schedule. The Castro Valley Trojan Invitational and The Crystal Springs Invitational. The fourth meet was in Sacramento aptly named "The Other Meet" was designed to provide an alternative to the Clovis Inv. for Sac Joaquin section teams.

CLOVIS INV at Woodward Park, Fresno
Zach Morrett
Hughson was the only StanCo school to run in this meet. A couple of other local teams will run on the Woodward Park course in a week at the Roosevelt Invitational. The Hughson boys ran decently considering that #2 man, Ian Brooks, had an off day which add at least 50 points to their team score. #1 runners Zach Morrett was hoping to crack the 16 min barrier but just missed. He certainly will have another opportunity over Thanksgiving weekend during the State Meet.
