MIkayla blazes to a new PR |
For the varsity girls it was all Mikayla Florez from start to finish. Showing that she is in awesome shape, she turned in a PR for this course of 19:03. All the more impressive considering it was a solo effort. The Riverbank girls again rolled over the rest of the league by placing 5 in the top 7 accounting for a miniscule 19 points. Ripon was second with 36 points.

The varsity boys race was a wild one. Alex Norling (Ripon) jumped to an early lead. Zach Morrett (Hughson) who went out at break-neck speed in TVL 1, took a more conservative approach today. At 1.5 miles it was a tight race between Riverbank and Hughson with about ten runners within 50m of the lead. in the final mile Morrett pulled away from Luis Figueroa (Riverbank) to take the individual victory. On the team front it was RBK again winning the meet 28 to 35 over Hughson.
