Here we go, all of the leagues held their championship this week (except WAC) with the top athletes qualifying for the Divisionals next week.
WED 5/1 CCAL Champ @ Downey HS, Modesto
The competing StanCo teams were Turlock, Pitman, Enochs, Gregori, Modesto, and Downey. although the CCAL boys have huge depth in the distance events, no one seems willing to take a chance in a race. They are all running to "not lose" instead of running to win. I thought it was tough that 7th place in the 3200 didn't qualify to move on at 10:07...well until I went to the VOL meet. The top 6 in each event qualified to move on the the D2 Section meet at Bella Vista HS in Fair Oaks next week.
