The Divisional Championships have the dual purpose of: 1. determining/crowning the section track champions for each divisional level, 2. serving as a qualifying meet for the section Masters meet which in turn is the qualifier for the State meet. There were two ways to make it to Masters: 1. place as one of the top designated finishers or 2. meeting on of the at large times. The at large times rarely come into play. Often the event winners do not even meet these marks, but in the D1 and D3 meet these standards played a huge role in qualifying additional runners. They were the same marks in all 5 divisions:
