2021 WEEK 2 StanCo Runners of the Week

As always there were some impressive performances this week. Although sometimes it feels like splitting hairs or comparing apples to oranges as runners compete on different courses and run so well, I make my selections and know that there were many others who were also deserving.

DAMIAN GARCIA (Pitman) it is difficult for me to imagine but Damian Garcia has never been a Runner of the week. Well that changes right now! Damian placed 7th at Lowell Inv covering the 2.8 mi course in 14:40. 

MELISSA BARAJAS (Modesto) placed 4th at the Farmer Inv at Hayward HS covering the 3mi course in a PR time of 18:20

OTHERS I CONSIDERED

GERARDO RAMIREZ MARTINEZ (Grace Davis) was the first StanCo male finisher at Saturday's Kim Duyst Inv. He placed 8th in 16:31 over the 5K course

ISABELA MORENO (Downey) was the first StanCo female finisher at Saturday's Kim Duyst Inv. She placed 9th in 20:24 over the 5K course

CALEB CAVANAUGH (Oakdale) placed 8th at the ultra competitive Josh Ruff Inv. He ran 16:52 over the tough Willow Hills 5K course. His previous best time over the course was 18:05

DAX DALEY (Oakdale) placed 9th at Josh ruff in 16:55. His previous best time on the course was 18:09

KASSIDY FMURA (Oakdale) placed 26th at Josh Ruff. Her time of 21:15 was 34 seconds faster than her previous best over the course
