2019 WEEK 5 Runners of the Week

Week 5 saw a lot of StanCo teams in action, but many of the top kids were likely taking the SAT during the Saturday meets. The next two weeks are very busy as team gear up for league finals at the end of the month. I did make a mistake in the first version of this post as I named a ROW who had previously gotten the award. I have now updated the post with a different/new recipient.

CHRISTIAN BALDERAS (Pitman) was the top StanCo boy at Frogtown placing 5th in the Lg School Varsity division in 16:31. It is good to see him eligible again after switching schools

Barajas

MELISSA BARAJAS (Modesto) placed 6th in the F/S G LG division at Artichoke in a StanCo fastest time.


OTHERS WHO HAD GREAT WEEKS
SIMON APPEL (Oakdale) palced 5th in the sm schl div at Frogtown and was the second fastest StanCo finisher
JASON SCHLENKER (Modesto) placed 13th in the VB LG division at Artichoke in a StanCo leading time of 13:06
CAMILA STEPHENS (Pitman) was the top StanCo girl at Frogtown placing 2nd in the Lg School Varsity race in an impressive 19:43--I think she was looking for redemption after a sub-par effort last week in Fresno
DANIEL LOPEZ (BVC) placed second in a time of 18:47 at CCAA 2 to lead his team for the win.
FATIMA CHAVEZ (Turlock) placed 10th at Amanda Garcia Memorial in a time of 19:53
