2019 WEEK 3 Runners of the Week

With such a busy week of action, selecting the runners of the week was a difficult one. A couple of weeks ago I didn't select a girl (but I did select a boy). This week I chose to select an extra girl to maintain the balance of the two categories.

ERIC HERNANDEZ 11th (Turlock) won the VB division at CCAL 1 in a time of 16:41 which was a 64 sec improvement and led his team to the victory

ALONDRA CARDOZA 12th (Downey) placed 2nd in VG division at CCAL 1 in a time of 19:15 which was a 47 sec improvement and is the #13 all time mark over the course and 2nd fastest ever by a Downey runner

FATIMA CHAVEZ 11th (Turlock) placed 5th in the VG division at CCAL 1 in a time of 20:42 which was a 57 sec improvement and led her team to the victory

EFREN SANCHEZ (Pitman) placed 2nd in the VB division at CCAL 1 in a time of 16:43 in his first 3 mi race
AIDAN WELLS (Gregori) placed 4th at CCAL 1 in the VB division in a time of 16:46 which was 39 sec improvement
BRODY VECCHIONE (Turlock) placed 5th at CCAL 1 in the VB division in a time of 16:48 which was a 56 sec improvement
JUSTIN CLAYPOOLE (Enochs) placed 7th in the VB division at CCAL 1 in a time of 17:10 which was a 33 sec improvement
CHLOE COOK (Gregori) placed 4th at CCAL 1 in the VG division in a time of 20:28
DANIELLE MORGART (Downey) placed 11th in the CCAL 1 meet in a time of 21:39 which was a 50 sec improvement
CAMILA STEPHENS (Pitman) placed 3rd at CCAL 1 in a time of 19:17 which is the #14 fastest time ever over the course. She also placed 14th in the large school division of the Pacific Inv in time of 19:16
MADISON KACKLEY (Gregori) won VG  at CCAL 1 in 18:28 and won the large school division of Pacific Inv in the fastest time of the day 18:07
HALEIGH HUMBLE (Oakdale) won the VG division at VOL 1 in 18:48 and placed 4th in the small school division at Pacific Inv in 19:05
HANNAH BETH NORMAN (Oakdale) placed 2nd in the VG division at VOL 1 and 7th in the small school division at the Pacific Inv in 20:11
SIMON APPEL (Oakdale) placed 2nd in VB division at VOL 1 in 16:30 and placed 16th in the small school VB division at Pacific Inv in 16:49
ADA JACK (Patterson) placed 4th at CCC 1 in a time of 20:27
JAVIER PRADO (Enochs) placed 11th in the VB division at CCAL 1 in a time of 17:24 which was a 55 sec improvement
MICHAEL MORRETT (Hughson) placed 21st in the VB White Division at Woodbridge Inv in a time of 15:43 to lead the Huskies to a 5th place finish
