2019 WEEK 1 RUNNER OF THE WEEK

First off let me state that my intention is to name one male and one female "runner of the Week" each week. However there will be some weeks where everyone is in action and there may be two...or few teams are in action and I name no one...there should be 20 boys and 20 girls by the end of the season.

With all that said I have named just one boy (and no girl) this week.

MICHAEL MORRETT, 12th, Hughson

He was the 1st StanCo finisher at TVL 1, finishing 3rd in 18:00--a 1:42 improvement over his time at the TVL Championship last season. Additionally he was the fastest StanCo finisher at the Lowell Inv this past Saturday. He placed 40th in the Varsity Boys 1 races with a time of 15:26

ELIZETTE YSAIS, 12th, Hughson--placed 3rd at TVL 1 in a time of 21:32; placed 21 in VG2 at Lowell Inv
ADAN SALGADO, 11th, Riverbank--placed 5th at TVL 1 in a time of 18:05
JONATHAN STALEY, 12th, Waterford--won SAL 1 in a time of 18:04
JAECELYN ROMERO, 12th, Waterford--won SAL 1 in a time of 22:54
