VARSITY BOYS
Well this was the 3rd of 4 MMC Clusters. The team title had already essentially been won by Gregori. 2nd place is still up for grabs. But this meet seemed to be a combination of sick and injured missing runners and a show of which team could put out the least amount of effort. Enochs runners held back considerably (maybe a full minute slow of their capability). Top runners Josue Perez (Modesto) and Moises Benavides (Downey) were both missing which left a huge void up front. Gregori's runners certainly didn't push to their full abilities. I will be happy for MMC 4 to get here so we can see the real team and individual strengths.

WED 10/18 Central Valley v Ceres at River Bluff Park, Ceres
Competing StanCo schools were Ceres and Central Valley
CV at the CV/Ceres dual meet |
This is one of the friendlier, but still serious rivalries in the County. The fortunes of these two teams is definitely changing. Ceres had gotten the best of this meeting for many years. The Bulldog's program has taken a down turn and will need some serious rebuilding. Conversely the Hawks team is huge, and the VBs are undefeated in WAC competition.
