WEEK 9 (Dual Meets, CCC#3, Dinuba, German Fernandez Dist Carnival, Sheldon Dist carnival, SMOC)

This was a busy week indeed. I personally attend three meets and took over 500 photos at each. My wife also attended Friday's German Fernandez Dist Carnival (and she took another 500). So there were a lot of photos to edit, and a lot of results to compile. One more week and next Saturday League Championships kick off May 6th at Turlock HS with the CCC Championship and at Sierra HS for the VOL.

DUAL MEETS

4/26 ENOCHS @ GREGORI
I went to this meet and was wholly disappointed that Gregori sat all of their varsity boys--so there was no real racing or competition. This seems to be the way of the MMC this year. I am hoping that in the near future with the realignment of the MMC, they will move to cluster meets and stop most of this nonsense.

In the best race effort of the week Tomas Virgen torched the Tiger home track in a sub 10,  3200m effort. In my 8 years following local track I have never heard of anyone doing this.

This is truly a meet in its infancy. In the future, if the wind will cooperate and some more local teams will stay home, local fans could witness some serious distance racing. Yep there were a lot of if there. Only time will tell what really happens here.
