2025 XC All South SJS Distance FROSH TEAM

 All of the years that I put together an All StanCo team I never gave a special nob to the Frosh runners. With the introduction of the All SJS Distance team I thought I would also give the frosh runners some love. The initial goal was to select seven boys and seven girls...I ended up with 11 boys and 10 girls. The primary consideration was their best 5K time...in some cases the athlete never ran 5K so I looked at the 3 mi time...they had to have run 3mi or 5K at some point to be considered (and not JUST 2 mi). Did I miss some one, it is possible but these are deserving kids every way. Please let me know your thoughts so I can refine my process for future years. I have listed each runner's best 2mi, 3mi, and 5K time.

 

BOYS ALL SOUTH SJS DISTANCE FROSH TEAM:

 

 PORTER PETTY 9th (Turlock)--Porter ran varsity most of the season. Even though he faded over the final meets he was still named to the All NOR CAL Frost team. He produced times of 10:48 for 2 mi, 15:27 for 3 mi and 16:24 for 5K. He was 6th in the varsity race at CCAL Champ meet. He placed 40th in the SJS D1 varsity race.

 

 AIDEN CAVANAUGH 9th (Oakdale)--Aiden ran only varsity all season. He produced times of 16:23 for 3mi and 16:53 for 5K. He placed 4th at the VOL Champ meet in the varsity race. He was 53rd at SJS in the Varsity D3 race.

 

ROBERT WELLER 9th (Summerville)--With such a small team at Summerville it was the deep end of the pool for the start for Robert. He only ran varsity and didn't disappoint. He ran 18:16 for 3mi and an even better 17:36 for 5K. He placed 6th and the MLL Final meet in the varsity race. Also he was 8th in the SJS D5 race.

 

 LUCAH SHERMAN 9th (Atwater)--He ran 10:33 for 2mi, 17:18 for 3mi and 17:45 for 5k. He placed 19th in the varsity race at the CCC Champ meet. He was also 22nd in the JV D1-5 race at SJS.

 

 CYLUS COSTA 9th (Turlock)--He ran 11:18 for 2mi and 17:47 for 5K. He was 1st at the CCAL Champ race in the F/S. He was 8th at the SJS D1 Soph race.

 

 VINCE WU 9th (Enochs)--He ran 11:32 for 2mi and 17:55 for 5K. He placed 17th at the CCAL Champ meet in the varsity race, and was 2nd at the SJS Frosh race.

 

 ZANDER DUMAS 9th (Summerville)--ran 18:11 for 5K. He was 24th at the MLL Finals varsity race and 28th at the SJS D5 varsity race

 

 GIANCARLO GUTIERREZ 9th (Buhach Colony)--He ran 10:57 and 17:02 for 3mi. He was 1st in the CCC Champ F/S race and 5th at the SJS D2 Frosh race.

 

 GIANCARLO REYES 9th (Riverbank)--He ran 17:46 for 3mi and 18:14 for 5K. He was 9th in the MLL Finals varsity race and 37th at the SJS D4 varsity race.

 

PARKER CROOKS 9th (Golden Valley)--he ran 10:54; 18:00 and 18:32 for 5K. He placed 20th in the CCC finals varsity race and 16th in the SJS D2 Soph race.

ASHER BERG 9th (Sonora)--he ran 11:36 and 17:51 for 3mi. He was 1st in the TVL Finals F/S race and 1st at SJS D4 Frosh race. 

 

 

GIRLS ALL SOUTH SJS DISTANCE FROSH TEAM:

Unlike the most of the boys on this list, many of the girls ran varsity exclusively and were extremely successful. A few of the girls even made the All StanCo team this season.

 

 GISELA HERNANDEZ 9th (Turlock)--she ran 12:49 for 2mi, 18:08 for 3mi and 19:32 for 5K. She placed 5th at the CCAL Champ varsity race ans 18th in the SJS D1 varsity race.

 

 ANAHI RUIZ VELASCO 9th (Beyer)--She ran 19:43 for 3mi and 18:59 for 5K. She placed 2nd at the WAC Champ varsity race and 17th at the SJS D3 varsity race.

 

 ROSELYNN DOMINGUEZ 9th (Modesto)--She ran 13:24 for 2mi, 20:26 for 3mi and 19:41 for 5K. She placed 3rd in the CCAL Champ varsity race.

 

 ANNIE SERVIN 9th (Beyer)--She ran 20:02 for 3mi and 19:43 for 5K. She placed 5th at the WAC Champ varsity race and 21st at the SJS D3 varsity race.

 

TENLEY WYLIE 9th (Oakdale)--She ran 19:30 for 3mi and 19:46 for 5k. She placed 5th at the VOL Champ varsity race and 22ns at the SJS D3 varsity race.

 

JAYLYN CARRILLO 9th (Patterson)--She ran 19:06 for 3mi and 19:53 for 5k. She placed 3rd at the VOL Champ varsity race and 24th at the SJS D2 varsity race.

 

ZOI ANN MORAITIS 9th (Beyer)--She ran 21:10 for 3mi and 20:35 for 5K. She placed 8th in the WAC Champ race in the varsity division and was 41st at the SJS D3 varsity race.

 

HAILEY HURTADO 9th (Atwater)--She ran 12:56, 22:44 and 22:27 for 5k. She placed 12th in the CCC Champ varsity race.

 

HASFA MODAN 9th (Gregori)-- She ran 14:04, 20:46, and 21:31 for 5k. She placed 13th in the SJS D1 F/S race.  

 ELIZABETH RICH 9th (Ripon Christian)--She ran 22:03 for 3mi and 21:28 for 5K. She placed 13th at the MLL Finals in the varsity race and 21st at the D5 SJS Varsity race.
