WEEK 11 (SubSections) Runners of the Week

With only one meet this week it might be easy to assume that it wasn't a very busy week for me...well with every StanCo team running in that meet that one day becomes extremely busy. There were some outstanding individual efforts this week as there always are, and this is my opportunity to shine the spotlight on a few deserving athletes.

SOFIA ANDRES (Turlock) 10th--normally Turlock's #4 runner Sofia placed 30th in the D1 race (85th overall) and finished with in one second of her fastest teammate. Her effort help lead Turlock to 7th place overall and a spot in Saturday's Section Championship.

HILDA PEREZ (Modesto) 12th--Hilda placed 25th in the D1 race and 71st overall to secure a berth in the D1 Section Championship on Saturday.

SEBASTIAN CRONKITE (Gregori) 11th--Sebastian finished 24th in the D1 race and placed 47th overall. His effort helped Gregori place 7th in the D1 division and qualify for Saturday's Section Meet.

Josue Perez (Modesto) 11th--16th in D1 and 30th overall
Leo Pando (Modesto) 12th--14th in D1 and 28th overall
Mason Reeves (Gregori) 11th--15th in D1 and 29th overall
Zachary Sanders (Gregori) 12th--54th D1 and 129th overall helped Gregori to 7th place in D1
Briseida Garcia (Grgeori) 10th--5th D1 and 19th overall, she was the fastest StanCo female
Karina Prado (Oakdale) 9th--10th in D3 and 52nd overall lead Oakdale to a qualifying spot
Abigayle Mitchell (Hughson) 12th--4th in D4 and 64th overall

Elizette Ysias (Hughson) 9th--13th in D4 and 111th overall helped lead Hughson to the D4 team title
