2025 WEEK 6 (WAC 2; MLL 2; VOL 2; Bulldog; Amanda Garcia; Artichoke)

A busy week indeed with three leagues running clusters and some pretty serious invites.
 
WED 10/1 WAC 2 @ River Bluff Park, Ceres
The competing StanCo teams were Ceres, Central Valley, Beyer, Grace Davis, and Johansen. Beyer continues to plow through WAC competition in both the boys and the girls sides. It also appear that they may have fleshed out their top 5 on both sides too. For the girls Beyer's #2 didn't run and their #3 Mejia Hidalgo has yet to run a hard race this season. Clovis Inv will tell the tale of if Beyer can succeed beyond the weak WAC. The races were 5K.

WED 10/1 MLL 2 @ East LaLoma Park, Modesto
The competing StanCo teams were Riverbank and Big Valley. The MLL competes as a series of dual competition taking place in what looks like a cluster meet format. So, for instance, Riverbank was only really competing against Summerville and Bret Harte yesterday. I have provided the invitational scoring BUT those scores have no meaning in MLL standings. Riverbank continues to move through MLL competition with their strong up front running. The races were a flat 5K.

The competing StanCo teams were Patterson, Oakdale, and Central Catholic. Oakdale continues to roll through a weakened VOL. The fact that only 3 schools could assemble a VG team and only 4 put together a VB team is telling about the conditions of local (not just VOL) XC.
