Not a very busy week as far as the number of meets; BUT the with the Kim Duyst meet, I think all StanCo schools have finally competed in something. Next week will finish off the first phase of league competition with CCAL, VOL, and MLL all competing on Wednesday.

Before I get into any results I am going to state some facts and opinions. FACT: I walked next to one of the coaches as they wheeled this course and it was 60m short. That equates to 10-15 seconds on the clock. FACT: I am seeing many coaches saying that this runner set a new school record, or we set a new team record using the times from Saturday's meet. FACT: 5 runners times 10-15 secs short means you need to add about a minute to that team time...is it still a school record? OPINION: this is why I wouldn't use some random course (that may or may not be accurate) to determine such things. I would use only historic courses that your team runs every year (that don't change, this course has changed slightly every year) to make comparisons...and I would only make them against that course and not for the distance. Such as " ...she set a new school record for the Woodward Park 5K course." If you disagree, I'll gladly listen to your side of the issue
