2023 WEEK 7 Runners of the Week

With the second set of Cluster Meets taking place last week and this week, I like to compare times and places and add the results in as a major factor in deciding this week's runners of the week.

JASON ARRIAZA (Patterson) Placed second at CCC 2 in a time of 17:25 for 5K helping to lead the Tigers to the team title

 

ANGEL SOLIS DE LA CRUZ (Turlock) improved by 1:24 and 11 places to finish 10th at CCAL 2 in 17:23

 

LILA BRACKETT (Turlock) improved at CCAL 2 by 1:54 and 6 places in a time of 20:51 for 6th place

 KAYLA THOMPSON (Pitman) was the crucial 6th runner who sealed the victory at CCAL 2 after Pitman and Turlock initially tied 

 

DIEGO CIBRIAN (Grace Davis) was the fastest StanCo runner at Artichoke. He ran 12:55 over the 2.3 mi course to place 9th in the Varsity Large School race

 

OTHERS THAT I CONSIDERED

ISMAEL DOMINGUEZ (Oakdale) ran 18:02 at Clovis Inv which is the 20th fastest time for StanCo over the 5K course

TEDDY SANTOS (Turlock) placed 2nd at CCAL 2 in a 3mi time of 16:46 to lead the Bulldogs to the team title

DANIEL VANG (Enochs) placed 3rd at CCAL 2 in a 3mi time of 16:47 which was a 58 sec improvement

ZADEN TOVAR (Enochs) placed 9th at CCAL 2 in a time of 17:19 to improve by 1:02 and 4 places.

DANIEL ZARAGOZA (Turlock) placed 4th at CCAL 2 in 16:50 which was an improvement of 1:07 and 3 places 

MAYA DAY (Turlock)--at CCAL 2 she placed 2nd in 19:44

EMELY VASQUEZ-VICTORIA (Gregori) placed 11th and improved by 1:56 to finish 11th in 21:52

NAYELI MATTISON (Pitman) at CCAL 2 she placed 7th in a time of 20:56 with was a 4 place and 1:54 improvement
