WEEK 3 Runners of the Week and This week's Schedule

This was an incredibly busy week. I think every StanCo team ran in at least one meet and many participated in two. With all that competition there were certainly some impressive performances. That in itself makes selecting Runners of the Week very difficult.

MYRKA BANUELOS (Modesto) placed 10th at MMC 1 at the same meet one year ago she was 35th in the F/S division. Her degree of improvement over the summer is incredible.

SANTIAGO RUIZ (Gregori) placed 2nd at  MMC 1 (lost the rock/scissors/paper challenge) in the #5 fastest time for the course


OTHERS I CONSIDERED
KAYDEN LEGAN (Oakdale) finished 4th at VOL 1 and 19th in the Lg Schl Division at the Bret Harte Inv
ANTHONY VAZQUEZ (Central Catholic) finished 4th at VOL 1 and 10th in the Sm Schl Div at the Bret Harte Inv
RYAN WEIDMAN (Enochs) finished 7th at MMC 1 and 6th  in the Lg Schl Division at the Bret Harte Inv
MADISON KACKLEY (Gregori) as a Frosh running her first varsity 3mi race she won MMC 1 in a 32 sec victory which was the #18 fastest time for the course
KATELYN KRIEGER (Downey) placed 2nd at MMC 1 to lead Downey to another MMC team victory
EVA RODRIGUEZ (Gregori) went from jogging F/S races last year to truly racing 3 mi events this season. She placed 5th at MMC 1
ANDY ROJO (Central Valley) won the WAC PreSeason meet
MAVLEEN MANN (Pitman) placed 3rd (almost 2nd) at CCC 1
MASON REEVES (Gregori) won MMC 1in the #4 fastest time for the course
NOHELI RON (Modesto) won the F/S race at MMC 1 and placed 5th in the 9th grade race at Mt Carmel Inv.
