TRACK BEGINS (TD/Sierra @ RBK, Pitman Dist Wars, Tom Moore Relays...)

DOWNEY, SIERRA @RIVERBANK SCRIMMAGE
To kick off the track season (and Christen a brand new track) the Riverbank Bruins hosted both Downey and Sierra in an early season scrimmage. On paper these three team represent some of the top distance squads in the area...however only Sierra ran their full squad. Downey sat out almost all of their distance kids in favor of Pitman's Distance Wars and one of RBK's top females is recovering from an injury.

The only real StanCo marks of note were laid down by super-star Kim Ruvalcaba (Riverbank). She put the rest of the area on notice with a 2:30.65 (800m) and 12:15.21 (3200m) double

TOM MOORE RELAYS
Compared to the Distance Wars the times here weren't very impressive. I think that wind probably was a huge factor. The only StanCo none relay mark of note was turned in by Jeremy Hart (Gregori) in the 1600m--4:48 which was good for 3rd place and well off his 1600m time from the previous night.
